The Sala del Portego on the ground floor is the largest of the rooms available. The enormous foyer (portego) was divided by an elegant glass wall during the last restoration of the palazzo to create the room, which retains the late 19th-century wooden decorations but is also fitted with very modern technical plant. This meeting of past and present make the room’s usage extremely flexible. It can host conferences, concerts, high profile international meetings, gala dinners and official ceremonies. The room can be accessed directly from the private jetty on the Grand Canal, through the water entrance.
