The Sala Alta, in the attic of the Palazzo Franchetti, is particularly suitable for seminars attended by a restricted number of people. It can hold 60 people in a theatre layout and about 50 in a school layout, with desks. There are facilities for offering coffee breaks and secretarial services for the seminar in the two adjoining service rooms, which have a fine view over the roofs. The foyer of the room, which can be used as a cloakroom, gives direct access to the toilet. The Sala Alta can only be reached by a wooden staircase, so access is difficult for the disabled.
