The Sala delle Adunanze is the heart of the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti’s institutional life. Generations of members have succeeded one another on its ancient benches. Originally designed as a reception hall, it is decorated with 18th-century mirrors and decorations. A painting by Tintoretto of the Virgin and Child with Four Senators hangs on the wall behind the chairman’s table. The door leading directly to the office area on the ground floor has an architrave above that is adorned with a sculpture by Girolamo Campagna. The room is equipped with a screen and projection, amplification and audio-visual recording systems. The characteristics of the room make it particularly suited to high level meetings for a restricted number.
